Almost anything! Food, drinks, landmarks, animals, plants, gadgets, vehicles, artwork, book covers, sports equipment -- the more interesting and recognizable the subject, the better the quiz. Avoid blurry photos, dark images, or photos that are mostly text.

Photos should be clear and well-lit with a recognizable subject. Very blurry, dark, or abstract images may produce lower-quality quizzes or fail to generate. Any modern phone camera works great.

Most quizzes are ready in 10-20 seconds. Complex photos may take a bit longer. If generation takes unusually long, it automatically retries, so you don't have to do anything.

You can pick a vibe for your quizzes: Chill (friendly, relaxed), Savage (brutally honest roasts), Nerd (deep academic facts), Meme Lord (internet humor and chaos), or Hype Beast (ultra-energetic motivation). Same photo, wildly different quiz experience.

Yes. Every quiz can be retaken as many times as you like. Each attempt is saved in your history so you can track how you've improved. Retakes count against your daily/monthly quiz allowance only when you generate a new quiz -- retaking an existing one is always free.

Each question has a short timer to keep the quiz fast and fun. Answering quickly earns you speed-bonus XP. If the timer runs out, the question is marked incorrect and you move on.

Pro unlocks a bigger monthly quiz allowance (in addition to daily free credits), an ad-free experience, multiplayer battles you can create and host, and the ability to buy extra credit packs when you need more. Check the Pricing page for the current credit amounts.

Yes. Free and Pro get the exact same AI quiz quality -- same depth, same categories, same personality tones. Pro just gives you more quizzes per month, no ads, and battles. No features are locked behind a paywall except multiplayer battles and ad-free viewing.

The free tier IS your trial -- you get daily quizzes with the full feature experience (except battles and ad-free). No credit card needed. Upgrade whenever you're ready.

Extra credit packs are available to Pro subscribers only. If you need more quizzes beyond your monthly allowance, you can buy a credit pack as a one-time purchase. Extra credits never expire and stay with you even after your subscription ends.

All major credit and debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, Amex, Discover) via Stripe. On mobile apps, in-app purchase options may be available depending on your platform.

Pro is a monthly subscription. You're billed on the same date each month from your subscription start date. Extra credit packs are one-time charges billed at the moment of purchase.

Yes. No contracts. Cancel from Account Settings (Manage Subscription) or directly through the Stripe billing portal. You keep Pro access until the end of your current billing period, then your account downgrades to the free tier.

Yes. Pro subscriptions auto-renew each month unless you cancel before the next billing date. You'll always have access until the end of the period you've paid for.

Subscription fees and credit packs are non-refundable. Since the free tier lets you test every core feature without a credit card, we strongly encourage trying before subscribing. We do not refund partially used billing periods.

Extra credits from credit packs never expire and stay on your account even after your Pro subscription ends. You can continue spending them whenever you want.

Go to your profile, open Account Settings, and click "Manage Subscription" to open the Stripe billing portal. You can update your card, view invoices, and cancel from there.

No. All payments are processed by Stripe, which is PCI-DSS Level 1 certified. We never see, touch, or store your card number.

Credits are what you spend to generate a new quiz. Each new quiz costs one credit. Retaking an existing quiz or viewing past results is always free and never costs a credit.

You can wait until your daily credits refresh, or upgrade to Pro for a monthly allowance that's much higher. Retaking any of your existing quizzes is always free and doesn't cost a credit.

Free daily credits refresh every 24 hours. The exact reset time is based on when you first claimed them. Pro subscription credits reset on the same date each month matching your billing date.

Free daily credits do not roll over -- they refresh every 24 hours. Pro monthly credits reset each billing cycle and don't carry over. Extra credits purchased via credit packs never expire and do carry over indefinitely.

When you generate a quiz, we spend your free daily credits first, then your monthly Pro credits, then your extra credits from packs. This maximizes your value -- your never-expiring extra credits are always spent last.

Yes. Your current free, subscription, and extra credit balances are visible in your profile and on the Pricing page when you're signed in.

Three options: Google Sign-In (one click), Apple Sign-In (on iOS), or email OTP (enter your email and we send you a 6-digit code). No passwords to remember.

Passwordless sign-in is more secure -- nothing to forget, nothing to steal in a breach. Google, Apple, and email OTP are industry-standard secure methods that most apps are moving toward.

OTP stands for One-Time Passcode. It's a 6-digit code sent to your email when you sign in. Enter it within 10 minutes to log in. Each code can only be used once and expires after a few minutes.

Check your spam/junk folder first. Emails come from a no-reply SnapToQuiz address, so add that to your safe-senders list. Try Google or Apple sign-in as an alternative. If the problem persists, email [email protected].

Yes. Sign in on the web, iOS, or Android -- your account, quizzes, XP, streak, and progress sync across all devices automatically.

Yes. Edit your display name and avatar from your profile page. These are shown on leaderboards, battles, and other public features.

Go to Account Settings and choose Delete Account. Your account is soft-deleted immediately. If you change your mind within 30 days, signing in again restores your account. After 30 days, all data is permanently deleted. Active subscriptions should be cancelled first.

Yes, within 30 days. If you deleted your account less than 30 days ago, signing in with the same email/Google/Apple account will restore it fully. After 30 days, deletion is permanent and cannot be reversed.

A streak is the number of consecutive days you've played at least one quiz. Play every day to keep it growing. Longer streaks unlock milestone rewards, bonus XP, and exclusive perks. Missing a day resets your streak -- unless you have a Streak Shield.

Completing at least one quiz in a 24-hour day counts. It can be a brand-new quiz or a retake of an existing one. Just opening the app isn't enough -- you need to finish a quiz.

Streak Shields automatically protect your streak if you miss a day. Earn them as rewards at certain streak milestones. Each shield covers one missed day, so you can keep your streak alive through a busy day without losing progress.

Streak Shields are awarded when you hit specific streak milestones (like 14 days, 50 days). Check the Streak page in the app to see your shield count and the next milestone that will earn you one.

Milestones at 3, 7, 14, 30, 50, 100, and 365 days unlock rewards like Streak Shields, special badges, exclusive app icons, VIP status, and more. Each milestone has a unique name, from "Warming Up" to "Immortal."

If you miss a day without a Streak Shield, your current streak resets to zero. Your longest streak ever is still saved on your profile so you never lose that record. Start again and try to beat it.

Yes. The Streak page shows a calendar view of your recent quiz activity, your current streak, your longest streak ever, shield count, and upcoming milestone rewards.

XP is earned for every quiz you complete. The amount depends on your score (more correct answers = more XP), speed bonus (fast answers earn extra), streak bonus (longer streaks multiply XP), and achievement unlocks. Check your profile to see your total XP.

Your level is calculated from your total XP. As you earn more XP, you progress through tiers like Egg, Sprout, Sapling, Tree, Mighty Oak, and Mountain. Each level is a badge of honor showing how much you've played and learned.

Achievements are badges you unlock for reaching specific milestones -- first quiz, perfect scores, long streaks, battle wins, first share, category mastery, and more. Each achievement gives bonus XP when unlocked.

Your profile page shows all achievements you've unlocked along with the date. Unlocked ones are highlighted; locked ones show what you need to do to earn them.

As you answer quiz questions, we track your accuracy in each category (Science, Food, Nature, etc.). The more you play in a category and the more questions you get right, the higher your mastery level (up to 5 stars) in that category.

Three public leaderboards: XP Leaderboard (most total XP earned), Streak Leaderboard (longest current streak), and Battles Leaderboard (most multiplayer battles won). Each shows the top players globally.

Everyone is automatically ranked. Play quizzes to earn XP, maintain a streak by playing daily, or win multiplayer battles to climb the boards. Your rank is shown even if you're below the top.

No. Leaderboards are public. Anyone can view them without signing in. You just need an account to appear on them and see your own rank highlighted.

Leaderboards update in real time as players earn XP, extend streaks, and win battles. Refresh the page to see the latest standings.

Battles are multiplayer quiz competitions where you and your friends take the same quiz and compete for the highest score. Battles can be 1-on-1 or group mode with multiple players. The person with the highest score (and fastest time as tiebreaker) wins.

Generate a quiz, then tap "Battle." You'll get a short invite code to share with friends via WhatsApp, X, or any messaging app. Anyone with the code can join the battle lobby.

Someone sends you an invite code or a battle link. Tap the link or enter the code in the Battles section, and you'll join the lobby. When everyone is ready, the quiz starts for all players together.

You can join battles that a Pro user creates. Creating and hosting your own battles requires a Pro subscription.

Players are ranked first by total score (most correct answers) and then by total time taken (faster = better) as a tiebreaker. The top-ranked player wins and earns extra XP plus a spot on the Battles leaderboard.

Battle invites expire after 24 hours if the battle hasn't started. Once the battle starts and all players are ready, you'll see live results as everyone finishes.

The Battles section lists all battles you've created or joined with status (pending, active, completed), participants, and final results. Wins count toward your Battles leaderboard rank and battle-related achievements.

Yes. You can send follow requests to other SnapToQuiz users. Once accepted, you can see their public quizzes, XP, streak, achievements, and category mastery on their profile.

The Users page offers Suggested users (based on activity and XP), a search by display name or email, and lists of your current Following, Followers, and Pending requests.

When you and another user follow each other (mutual follows), you're marked as friends. Friends appear in a special list and you'll see if anyone is a mutual friend when viewing a profile.

Yes. Open their profile or your Following list and tap Unfollow at any time. They won't be notified.

Public quizzes you create and your XP, level, streak, and achievements are visible on your public profile. Private quizzes (if you mark them private) are not shared.

Yes. Blocking a user prevents them from viewing your profile, following you, or sending you battle invites. Manage blocks from your profile settings.

Absolutely. After completing a quiz, tap Share and pick your platform: WhatsApp, X (Twitter), Instagram, or copy a link. A beautiful result card with your score and the quiz topic is generated automatically.

Friends who click your link see a share card with the quiz title, your score, and the photo. They can tap through to take the same quiz themselves and try to beat your score.

Yes. Share the quiz link and your friend can take the exact same quiz. For real-time competition, start a Battle instead -- both of you play the same quiz simultaneously and see a live winner.

Yes. Sharing your first quiz unlocks an achievement with bonus XP. Sharing also helps friends discover SnapToQuiz and challenge you in battles.

Quizzes can be generated in 109+ languages including English, Spanish, French, German, Hindi, Japanese, Mandarin, Arabic, Portuguese, Russian, and many more. Pick your language before creating a quiz -- the AI writes the entire quiz natively in your chosen language.

Truly written natively. The AI generates questions and explanations directly in your chosen language, not translated from English. This keeps the phrasing natural and the humor/tone appropriate for the language.

On the camera/upload screen, tap the language selector before generating a quiz. Your choice is remembered for next time. You can change it any time.

Yes. SnapToQuiz works worldwide. The app and AI handle international subjects -- landmarks, cuisine, wildlife, art -- from any country. Quizzes in your native language make it feel local anywhere.

Yes. We take privacy seriously. Photos and quizzes are processed securely, we never sell your personal data, and we never share your photos or quizzes with advertisers or third parties for marketing. See our Privacy Policy for full details.

Your photos are sent to our AI processing service (Zenixr LLM API) to generate the quiz. The photo and generated quiz are stored in your private account so you can revisit them. You can delete any quiz (including its photo) from your history at any time, which permanently removes it.

No. Your photos and quizzes are not handed to any third party for AI model training. We may use de-identified or aggregated data (with no link back to you) to evaluate accuracy and improve SnapToQuiz, as described in our Terms.

By default, quizzes are private to you. If you share a quiz link or post it publicly on your profile, then anyone with the link can view and take it. You control what's public vs private.

The minimum needed to run the service: your email and sign-in method, subscription/billing data (handled by Stripe), the photos and quizzes you create, and operational data (hashed IP address, approximate location, device/browser info, login history, error logs). Yes. We minimize the data we collect, hash IP addresses, use EU-friendly hosting, and give you clear rights to access, correct, export, and delete your data. Email [email protected] or use Account Settings to exercise these rights.

Our AI is highly accurate at recognizing common objects, landmarks, food, animals, and popular subjects. Questions are crafted around the photo and include explanations for each answer. For rare or ambiguous subjects, accuracy may vary -- consider it a fun learning tool rather than an authoritative reference.

Photos are processed by our AI service (Zenixr LLM API), which routes each request to the large multimodal model best suited to image analysis and quiz generation. We continuously upgrade the underlying model to improve quality.

Yes, occasionally. It may misidentify an ambiguous photo or generate a factually-off question. If you spot a clear mistake, tap Report on the question and we'll use your feedback to improve. Your credit isn't lost for reporting issues.

They'll cover the same subject but phrasing and specific questions can vary between generations -- that's normal with AI. Categories, core facts, and difficulty mix should stay consistent.

Some photos don't produce a good quiz -- blurry or dark images, photos that are mostly text, screenshots of apps, or content that violates our guidelines. If generation fails, no credit is charged and you can try a different photo.

No. Generating quizzes and syncing progress requires an internet connection because photos are sent to our AI service. You can browse existing quiz results offline if they were loaded before.

Yes. The mobile apps open your camera natively so you can snap a photo and generate a quiz in one tap. On web, we use your browser's camera API if you grant permission.

If it takes more than a minute, pull down to refresh or go back and try again. The system auto-retries failed generations and times out after a few minutes. You won't lose a credit if generation fails.

No. Failed generations don't count against your credits. The credit is refunded automatically so you can try again with the same or a different photo.

If the AI can't produce a meaningful quiz from your photo (too blurry, too dark, not a recognizable subject, or against our content guidelines), it rejects the request. Try a clearer, well-lit photo of a recognizable subject.

Occasionally the AI misreads an image. Tap Report on the question so we can improve, and try a clearer photo if possible. If the quiz is genuinely wrong, email [email protected] with the quiz link.

Close and reopen the app. On web, try refreshing, clearing cache, or using incognito mode. Make sure your browser/app is updated to the latest version. If it keeps crashing, email [email protected] with your device info.

Check that you granted camera/photo permissions to the app. On mobile, go to Settings and allow SnapToQuiz access. On web, look for a permission prompt or click the camera icon in your browser's address bar.
