1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using SnapToQuiz ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service.
2. Description of Service
SnapToQuiz is an AI-powered photo-to-quiz application. Users can upload or capture photos of anything and receive instant, AI-generated multiple-choice quizzes based on the content of the image. The Service includes gamification features such as XP, streaks, battle mode, leaderboards, and multi-language support.
The Service is provided "as is" and quiz questions are generated by AI. They should be used for entertainment and learning, not as authoritative educational or professional assessments.
3. User Accounts
- You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account, and keep it up to date.
- You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and the device you use to access it. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
- You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service. SnapToQuiz is not intended for or directed at minors.
- One account per person; shared accounts and credential sharing are not permitted.
- You must notify us immediately at [email protected] if you suspect any unauthorized use of your account.
4. Plans, Payments, and Refunds
SnapToQuiz offers both free and paid plans:
- Free plan: A limited number of free snaps per day with full quiz features. The daily limit resets each day.
- Pro plan: The same daily free snaps plus a monthly credit allowance and priority processing.
- Credit packs: Optional one-time purchases of additional quiz credits, available to Pro subscribers.
Billing. Paid plans are billed monthly in advance by our payment processor Stripe. By subscribing you authorize us to charge your chosen payment method for the recurring subscription fee and any applicable taxes. Card data is collected and stored by Stripe; we never see or store your full payment instrument.
Auto-renewal. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period at the then-current price, unless you cancel before the renewal date.
Cancellation. You can cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings or via the Stripe billing portal. Cancellation stops future renewals but does not end your current billing period — you keep full Pro access until the end of the period you have already paid for, and your account then downgrades to the free tier automatically. We do not prorate or refund unused days within a billing period.
Taxes. Listed prices may not include taxes, duties, or other government charges. Where required by law, the applicable taxes will be added at checkout and you are responsible for paying them.
Price changes. We may change our prices, plan structure, or available features at any time. We will give you reasonable advance notice of any price increase that affects your subscription. Continued use after a price change takes effect is considered acceptance of the new price.
Refunds. Subscription fees and credit-pack purchases are non-refundable. Because the free tier lets you try every feature of SnapToQuiz with no credit card before subscribing, we encourage you to test the Service first. We do not refund partially used billing periods. Nothing in this section limits any non-waivable refund rights you may have under your local consumer protection laws.
Credits and consumables. Quiz credits and credit packs are one-time purchases. They are non-transferable, have no cash value, and never expire — they remain available to you even after your Pro subscription is canceled, for as long as your account exists. Unused credits are forfeited only if your account is deleted or terminated.
5. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
- Submit photos that infringe on intellectual property rights or contain illegal content
- Upload photos containing sensitive personal data about other people without their consent
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or extract data from the Service
- Use automated tools to access the Service beyond normal usage
- Manipulate XP, streaks, leaderboards, or battle results through cheating or exploiting bugs
- Resell or redistribute quiz content commercially without permission
6. Intellectual Property and Your Submissions
Our content. The SnapToQuiz platform — including its user interface, design, branding, code, AI prompts, and the structure of quiz results — is owned by SnapToQuiz and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or reverse engineer any part of the Service except as expressly permitted by these Terms or by applicable law.
Your photos. You retain ownership of any photos you upload or capture. By submitting a photo, you represent that you have the right to submit it and you grant SnapToQuiz a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, transmit, and process that photo — including by sending it to our AI processing service — solely for the purpose of generating, delivering, securing, debugging, and improving your quiz. You also agree that we may use de-identified or aggregated data derived from submissions to evaluate and improve the Service.
Quiz results. The quiz questions and results we generate for you are licensed to you for your own personal use. You may not resell, redistribute, or commercially exploit the results without our written permission.
What you may not submit. You agree not to submit photos that contain sensitive personal data about other people without their consent, confidential information you are not authorized to share, or content that infringes any third party's rights. You are solely responsible for the content you submit.
7. AI-Generated Content Disclaimer
SnapToQuiz uses large language models to analyze photos and generate quiz questions. AI output is generated automatically and may contain inaccuracies, omissions, hallucinations, or biases. Quizzes are provided for entertainment and educational purposes only and are not authoritative assessments. You should not rely on quiz results as the sole basis for any important decision.
8. Disclaimer of Warranties
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS, WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, SNAPTOQUIZ DISCLAIMS ALL IMPLIED WARRANTIES INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, AND ANY WARRANTIES ARISING OUT OF COURSE OF DEALING OR USAGE OF TRADE. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, SECURE, OR THAT QUIZ RESULTS WILL BE ACCURATE, COMPLETE, OR RELIABLE.
9. Limitation of Liability
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, IN NO EVENT WILL SNAPTOQUIZ, ITS AFFILIATES, OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, OR SUB-PROCESSORS BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES — INCLUDING LOST PROFITS, LOST REVENUE, LOSS OF DATA, LOSS OF GOODWILL, OR BUSINESS INTERRUPTION — ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF (OR INABILITY TO USE) THE SERVICE, EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.
OUR TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE TOTAL AMOUNT YOU PAID TO SNAPTOQUIZ IN THE SIX (6) MONTHS IMMEDIATELY PRECEDING THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM, OR (B) ONE HUNDRED US DOLLARS (USD 100).
SnapToQuiz is not responsible for educational outcomes, quiz accuracy, or any consequences influenced by quizzes generated by the Service. Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain warranties or damages, in which case some of the above limitations may not apply to you.
10. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless SnapToQuiz and its affiliates, officers, employees, agents, and sub-processors from and against any and all claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or in any way connected with: (a) your use or misuse of the Service; (b) the content you submit, including any claim that it infringes a third party's rights; (c) your breach of these Terms; or (d) your violation of any law or the rights of any third party.
11. Service Modifications and Interruptions
We are constantly improving SnapToQuiz and may add, change, suspend, or discontinue features at any time, with or without notice. We may also need to perform maintenance, deploy fixes, or respond to security incidents, which can cause temporary downtime, delays, or errors. We do not guarantee that the Service will always be available or that any specific feature will be supported indefinitely, and we will not be liable to you for any loss arising from modifications, interruptions, or discontinuance of the Service.
12. Termination
By you. You may stop using the Service at any time and delete your account from Account Settings. Account deletion is soft for 30 days (so you can change your mind by logging back in) and then permanently purges your account and associated data, subject to the retention obligations described in our Privacy Policy.
By us. We may suspend or terminate your account and access to the Service, with or without notice, if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms, abused the Service, created risk or legal exposure for us or our users, or otherwise engaged in conduct that is harmful to SnapToQuiz or its community. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ends immediately, but the sections of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination (including IP, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnification, and dispute resolution) will continue to apply.
13. Electronic Communications and Notices
By creating an account, you consent to receive electronic communications from us, including transactional emails (such as login codes, billing notices, security alerts, and account updates) and notices about changes to these Terms or to our Privacy Policy. You agree that any agreements, notices, disclosures, and other communications we provide electronically satisfy any legal requirement that they be in writing.
14. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
These Terms and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with them or their subject matter or formation shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which SnapToQuiz is established, without regard to its conflict of law rules.
Informal resolution first. Before filing any formal claim, you agree to first contact us at [email protected] and try in good faith to resolve the dispute informally for at least thirty (30) days.
Exclusive jurisdiction. If we cannot resolve a dispute informally, you and SnapToQuiz agree that any unresolved dispute will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts at the place where SnapToQuiz is established, except where mandatory consumer-protection laws in your country of residence give you the right to bring a claim in your local courts.
No class actions. To the extent permitted by law, you and SnapToQuiz agree that any dispute will be resolved on an individual basis only and not as part of any class, consolidated, or representative action.
15. Hosting & Infrastructure
SnapToQuiz is hosted on infrastructure provided by Hetzner Online GmbH in the European Union. By using the Service you acknowledge that the availability and operation of the Service depend in part on Hetzner's infrastructure and that Hetzner's terms apply to the underlying hosting layer. 16. Miscellaneous
Entire agreement. These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and SnapToQuiz regarding the Service and supersede all prior agreements and understandings.
Severability. If any provision of these Terms is found to be unlawful, void, or unenforceable, that provision will be enforced to the maximum extent permissible and the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.
No waiver. Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms is not a waiver of that right or provision.
Assignment. You may not assign or transfer these Terms without our prior written consent. We may assign these Terms in connection with a merger, acquisition, reorganization, or sale of assets, or by operation of law.
Force majeure. We are not liable for any failure or delay in performing our obligations under these Terms when such failure or delay is caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including acts of God, war, terrorism, civil unrest, government action, labor disputes, internet or power outages, denial-of-service attacks, or failures of third-party services or infrastructure.
No agency. Nothing in these Terms creates any agency, partnership, joint venture, or employment relationship between you and SnapToQuiz.
17. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. If the changes are material, we will notify you by email or with a prominent in-app notice before they take effect. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms; if you do not agree, you must stop using the Service and may delete your account.
